About

I recently got my MFA in Design with a focus on Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Dynamic Media Institute at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, 2016. Before this, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication Design from China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. 2014.

To be capable of that, I have prepared myself for being a T-shaped person. This means, alongside my visual design expertise, I also have a wide knowledge of relevant and emerging technologies and the capability of making a prototype quickly. What is even better: I am an active and fast learner! That said, whatever new tools I need for a new project, I can pick them up in a short time.

My interests lay in the intersection of user experience and human interaction to their surroundings in the digital world. My graduation thesis book focuses on how to change the way we think about computers and computer-driven things and how we interact with them and improve the sensory experience to users through the language of dynamic media. Plus, My works seek to change the "Painted bits" of GUIs to "Tangible bits" by giving physical form to digital information. My thesis projects were mainly influenced by professor Hiroshi Ishii, who currently directs the Tangible Media Group, MIT Media lab when I Cross-registered to Tangible Interface Lab and MIT Mobile Experience Lab in 2015 and 2016.
